Rithmik studio project

Rithmik is a music project for young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) Young people can get involved in Music production, Radio Production, Journalism, Media, Vocals and Song writing.

Programmes

The Rithmik Music Studio has two open evening programmes a week:

• Mondays at Canada Villa Youth Centre- an open session offering music production, vocals, professional recording sessions and song writing.
• Tuesdays at Canada Villa – Radio Rithmik, Journalism, Media, Debates, Group Discussions and Producing.
• Wednesdays at Finchley Youth Centre – Rehearsal Space for Live performances. 

Radio Rithmik

Radio Rithmik was set up in partnership with Roundhouse to be a voice of young people in Barnet. All young people within the project have defined roles and shows are produced on a regular basis.

The music studio is based at Canada Villa young people's centre, with outreach music sessions taking place at other centres in the borough. Regular activities include:

• Open drop-in sessions for all abilities
• Running an internet radio station
• Foundation and academy courses.
• Journalism and Media
• Debates and group discussions
• Public speaking
