About the scheme
Your business could receive from £800 to £1,200 each year for taking part in the Community Toilet Scheme (CTS)
The money is to help you with maintenance costs of your community toilet.
Your business will be listed on Barnet Council's website and you'll have CTS window stickers to show you support the scheme. Street signs will direct people to your business.
To join you must:
- have clean, safe ground floor entry toilets and hold appropriate public liability insurance (further details are in the application form)
- allow people to use the toilet for free during your opening times as you would a paying customer
Apply to join the scheme
You will need to include photos of your toilet facilities.
Email your form to CommunityToilets@Barnet.gov.uk
We will contact you to arrange a site inspection of your toilet facilities.
Dealing with customers
As a participating CTS premises you must let members of the public use your toilets as regular customers.
You don't have to let members of the public use your toilets outside of your opening hours, or if they are behaving in an anti-social manner.
You should make a note of the person you have turned away, the reason, date and time.
