Pay Council Tax
On Saturday 25 September from 8am to 1pm, access to Council Tax services online may be limited. This is due to essential maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Pay by Direct Debit
This is an easy and secure way to pay your Council Tax. Every month your Council Tax payment will automatically be paid, without having to remember how much to pay and when to pay it.
You can pay in 10, 11 or 12 instalments across the year. This will apply to your main Council Tax bill issued in April.
In order to setup a Direct Debit online, you need to confirm:
- you are the named account holder of the bank account to be debited
- your signature to authorise the setting up of Direct Debits on this bank account.
You can choose to make your payment on the 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 of each month.
Your Direct Debit will take up to 3 working days to be processed.
You can cancel this arrangement at any time.
We may send you a text message reminding you that your council tax bill is due.
If you wish to settle your account in yearly or half yearly instalments, you can complete our online form. Response times to queries may take up to 7 working days.
Make a payment by credit or debit card.
You’ll need your postcode and the 8 digit reference number from your Council Tax Bill to make a payment.
Your reference number can be found on the top right hand corner of your bill.
There will be no charge for payments made by credit or debit card.
